Refeyn quickly grew into other locations from its headquarters in the United Kingdom, adding locations in the United States, China, Japan, and Australia. The expansion to a presence on four continents created new lifecycle management challenges, as emails and Active Directory (AD) profiles had to be created for 190 employees. In addition, these employee profiles had to be correctly sorted into the right locations and granted the correct system access. The task overburdened Refeyn’s Sysadmins. This created a poor employee onboarding experience and opened potential security risks for confidential data because of inefficient offboarding. Hiring enough Sysadmins to keep the manual process would be too costly, so Refeyn searched for a quick solution to automate the process.
