Founded in 1914 with a red deer fawn as its first exhibit, Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens has grown into one of Florida’s top attractions. Spanning over 100 acres, it houses more than 2,000 animals and 1,000 plant species, attracting over a million visitors annually. Beyond tourism, Jacksonville Zoo is committed to education and conservation, helping protect rare and exotic species through field trips, classroom programs, and wildlife preservation efforts.

Struggles and Pains

As Jacksonville Zoo celebrated its 100th anniversary, its leadership recognized the need to modernize employee lifecycle management processes. Manually managing over 350 employee profiles and synchronizing data between Paycom and Hybrid AD integration created operational bottlenecks, significantly increasing the Sysadmin workload.
