Situation

What does the banking industry mean to you? Well, for individuals, it is a way to access financial information, products, and services while also saving wealth for rainy days. For businesses, it might be a way to manage their funds, and when we consider a country, it might be a factor that affects the global economy. All have different meanings, but every meaning has immense value. Since 1869, Greenfield Savings Bank (GSB) has been providing sustainable services to businesses and individuals alike, enabling better access to financial products and services for all. The bank offers a wide range of financial services, including personal and business banking, lending, investments, and insurance. It has a strong reputation for providing personalized services and building long-term relationships with its customers.

Struggles and Pains

With an aim to promote local banking and traditional banking services, GSB has been running in 10+ branch locations spread across Franklin and Hampshire counties, creating a community-oriented and personalized banking experience. The CFO of GSB, Thomas Meshako, believed that “Giving back moves one forward” and hence, decided to increase its workforce and presence to support local non-profits not only financially but also via volunteer efforts. While this move enabled GSB to show its sustainable and philanthropic side, because of the increased workforce, managing employee profiles manually became a difficult task.

Despite the sysadmins and IT team of GSB working tirelessly day and night, the constant hiring and role updates made it difficult for them to check their tickets on time. On top of that, the termination process in the company was not streamlined. Some terminated employees still had system access posing the threat of financial losses and customer data breaches to the bank. GSB knew that to provide a superior and secure banking experience to its clients, it needed to evolve. It realized the old system of employee lifecycle management is not effective enough, and that is why it turned to RoboMQ.

Resolution

RoboMQ implemented Hire2retire as an employee lifecycle management and resource provisioning system for GSB, enabling it to get the same quality and efficiency in its operations that it offers to its clients. Hire2Retire enabled GSB to manage the employee identities in their system across multiple locations by syncing changes between its ADP and Hybrid AD (Active Directory) in near real-time.

With Hire2Retire, GSB optimized its HR & IT operations with:

Real-time sync in employee data between ADP and Hybrid AD.

Time and cost reduction in regular business processes through automation.

Increased efficiency and accuracy because of the elimination of manual updates.

Compliance risk reduction by adopting a proper role-based access control system.
